I was commissioned to create a 24ft wall of 3D paper flowers for an event space. For this project I designed a variety of flower petals using plain paper and coffee filters.
Each petal was cut, curled and colored with spray paint and acrylic paint. The petals were then assembled and adhered to a background. The installation was transported and mounted to the wall location.
Ultimately the space between the 2 panels were filled in with more petals to camouflage (but provide access to) the electrical and fire fixtures.
